Our story
The device that started it all.
Father-son duo Dan McLane & Dr. Ian McLane had a dream of improving patients’ lives. As the founder of engineering firm, Phase Margin, Inc., Dan understood what it took to craft and engineer cutting-edge hardware. And Ian identified specific opportunities for innovation through his biomedical engineering PhD and expertise. It wasn’t just a family business–it was a partnership meant to make a difference.
So they set out to design a wearable that would revolutionize healthcare monitoring. Through the height of the global Pandemic, they designed a device that was small, durable, and versatile enough to sense more health vitals than any other yet in existence. They called this device “The Health Patch.”
A passion that lives on.
Daniel McLane’s sudden passing in August 2022 from heart complications left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His family and friends mourned the loss, while the world lost a visionary innovator dedicated to his community.
Yet, amidst the grief, a glimmer of hope emerged. Dan’s final act was saving the completed Health Patch design, time stamped on the day he passed. It was as if the universe had sent them a poignant message.

In memory of Dan, the new leaders founded Perin Health, named after Daniel Perrin McLane.

Jaishree McLane, CEO
A leader in software development and data analysis for over 40 years, Jai’s career has been largely focused on healthcare. A former director at Pfizer, Disney, Providence St. Joseph Health System, and Kern Health System, she oversees comprehensive teams for product development, IT infrastructure, and quality management. Her career boasts two $10M+ acquisitions, and $1.3M+ in software development contracts. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science & Engineering and several professional project management certifications.
Greg Kolean, President
Greg Kolean has served as the leader of the PBDC-Federal Group of subsidiaries for the past 12 years, overseeing 40 subsidiaries and joint ventures across 43 states, as well as in Europe and Asia. His portfolio spans multiple sectors, including healthcare services, training, information technology, construction, and manufacturing.
Ian McLane, CTO
Earning his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Ian has dedicated himself to pioneering medical technology. He has demonstrated expertise in biomedical publications and studies in the US and abroad, and has been recognized for his innovations in National Inventors Hall of Fame and Forbes ‘30 Under 30.’
